We are Tash (English) and Marthe (Dutch), a lesbian couple who share many passions.

At Breaking The Distance we want to bring you on our journey.

We both love the ocean and travelling and met whilst surfing in Bali. We ended up spending almost 4 weeks together exploring new places together and falling in love, (aawwwwww).

Marthe moved from Amsterdam to London on December 28th 2019. When we finally ‘Broke the Distance!’ After which, we spent almost 3 months travelling through South East Asia. We want to share our journey with you as we continue to ‘Break the Distance’. From travelling to moving in together, exploring different cultures, and so much more. We will also keep sharing our stories, tips and tricks to hopefully help other LDR couples. You can also find blogposts written about the LGBTQ+ community and other minority groups. 

We now live in Margate (UK) together and expecting a baby in May 2023, how exciting. On our website you can find information about controversial topics and other “stuff” that comes up during our lives together.

We are always going on adventures and we will be sharing them here and on our YouTube Channel, ‘Breaking The Distance’.
